Sleepy Hollow

Parent and child on inner tubes sliding down a tubing hill.

Opening May 2024

It's nearly here! Opening weekend of Sleepy Hollow Sports Park is set for May 25-27, 2024. Experience the thrills of sliding down the largest all-weather tubing hill in the world, in the warmest of weather. Or channel you inner child and get wet and silly tubing in the rain. When we say all-weather, we mean it!

Not sure if tubing is for you? Would you rather relax and spectate? No problem. Sleepy Hollow has plenty of space for you to relax with a beverage or snack and take in the action all around you. B

Be sure to check the calendar for special events and themed days.

Snowflex: all-weather fun

Snowflex is an advanced snow substitute that can be used for downhill sports in every season. It’s a high-performance polymer composite system that is specifically designed for skiing, tubing, and snowboarding.

Sleepy Hollow’s Snowflex hill is 50,000 sq. ft. and 600 ft long—that’s the length of two football fields! And, to ensure maximum speed, a misting system keeps the surface slippery. Fun Fact: Our misting system uses cleaned and recycled water from the on-site pond in an effort to support the park’s conservation principles.

Snowflex is slippy for speed and grippy so you can change direction and control your speed of descent when skiing and snowboarding. It’s also softer to fall on than hard-packed snow so frequent falls won’t stop beginners or advanced winter sports enthusiasts from learning new skills quickly.

I’m really excited for the opportunity this new feature brings to the community,

- Jeff Condon, Leisure Services Manager for Polk County Conservation.
